Some people find EMs to be too old to enjoy but I find them charming to play. They're not automatically bad, but the EM and SS tables are the ones with the "3rd largest manufacturer" claim attached and what I personally find as the best of the bunch. Think of these as FX's Williams tables and with the Zaccaria Remake and Deluxe tables as the Zen Originals. The actual Zaccaria tables are the EM and SS tables. For something that is obviously supposed to entice people into Zaccaria Pinball, it's not a good first impression. As a result, they're kinda broken (not in the fun way) and end up being some of the worst tables on offer which is why they're so cheap. That doesn't sound too bad until you also find out that many of the rules have changed for them so they don't even play the same as the originals. It sounds like a great deal until you find out that each of them are reskins of tables. I would personally stay away from that 27 retro tables for $1.99 bundle. Star wars clone wars for how easy it was to combo and beat the main campaignĪdventure land and Biolab because of how annoying the music and sounds areīlack rose and Theater of Magic for how difficult they are to keep a ball in play IMO Wild West Rampage and Son of Zeus purely for the immersive themes Medieval Madness as that was my favorite physical pinball table played as a teenagerīack to the future for the source material and the multiple era campaign mode apart from that any other table recommendations? and a retro tables deal 27 tables for $1.99, and the campaign mode for $2.99. was thinking of picking up the Deluxe starter pack, 20 tables for $16. Alot of people in the community have been recommending zaccaria, I finally just downloaded it and can't believe how cheap the tables are, on top of the many game modes, campaigns etc. , Bowler, Shuffler, Machine, Visual and 6 more.I've been using FX2 and FX3 for the past 10 years or so, and was pretty dismayed with the new pricing structure and lack of new features in FX. Slightly less so with VPX because of the "live fix" feature where you can use the flipper and magnasave buttons to make the adjustments.
It's only really most painful when one's doing an initial setup of a pincab with VP on it.

I think it's actually an artifact of how easy it is now to rotate the screen in software, there's no perceived "need" to implement a rotation to landscape when it's done at the video card/OS level, particularly since the most common software setup that has the other method for that isn't really a licensed option. Between them and Pinball FX2 (which I believe has a similar lacking feature), it's just easier to rotate all the VPX tables. Pro Pinball's Timeshock has it, and it makes it super easy, no need for a script etc.Īs I recall, it's one of the few weaknesses of their implementation. They have tons of options and a one click cab support, but did they really not include an option for playfield screen rotation?
